Be
The person who succeeds in business, is the person who anticipates the success.
The Oxford dictionary defines anticipation as to “regard as probable; expect or predict.”
This expectation is how we must begin to live our lives if we are ever going to see beyond our current circumstances.
The lack of vision, inability to see, and deficiency of dreaming are ailments that have plagued humanity throughout history.
But we are not of those who shrink back and let ourselves be trampled on by those who have no vision for a better future.
Do
Three practices to step up your anticipation game:
1. Muster up some courage. Fear can’t be easily kicked to the curb, but decisive action in the form of courageous commitment to doing something every day to change your life, will change your life and will take captive your fear.
2. Print out a picture of what you anticipate. Maybe it’s a picture of a tropical island you want to go to. Maybe it’s a picture of a happy moment between you and your spouse. Maybe it’s a picture a material possession you are striving to purchase, a new home, a paid off debt… anything. Just print it out and post it where you can see it.
3. Put a deadline for it in your calendar. Write down a date you want to see this done by. Setting a clear deadline is a critical action you must make or you will put it off everyday and never see it through.
Anticipation is a mindset brought about by active steps to becoming a person who lives expecting. Expect great things for your clients, your families, your business partners, and yourself.
The world could use some more anticipators!
